Featured Artist December 2008- Glendive, Montana Photographer Tana Canen
Tana was raised in eastern Montana and attended and graduated from Circle High School. She continued
her education at Montana State University in Bozeman and graduated with her degree in Agriculture Business with a minor in Economics.
Today she is a wife and mother of three daughters, and she lives and works on the family ranch raising cattle and Quarter horses.
She has always had a love of animals and the outdoors. Her interest in photography began with the
gift of a camera from her parents while still in high school. She has since transitioned to digital photography and enjoys
western scenes with horses and ranch life, and the spectacular sunsets only Montana can provide. Her primary subjects include horses, and
she strives to convey the beauty and the personality of her subjects through her photographs.
Tana's December display at the Dawson County Arts Unlimited Gallery includes many beautiful photographs, matted
and framed, as well as many photographic prints on gallery canvas. She also has a variety of wonderful wallhangings and western decor that feature
antler, barbed wire and silk floral arrangements. More of her work and family life may be seen on her website for the
Bar MT Ranch, located in Circle, Montana.
