Featured Artist July 2010- Glendive, Montana Artist Emily Fitterman
Emily was born in Miami, Florida. She has moved often with her family and
has lived in North Dakota, Idaho and Montana, having lived in Glendive the last ten years.
She started drawing when she was eleven years of age. Because they moved a lot she had difficulty
talking and making friends, so art became a form of escape for her. She feels art is a wonderful way to be able to express
yourself without saying a word.
Emily has completed her Associate of Arts (AA) and plans to one day become an Art teacher. She aspires
to complete her MA in Fine Art as well. She enjoys all media types, styles and techniques. She states that "art is my life. Everything
I create is inspired by my imagination, my subconscious and also experiences in my daily life."
You can also visit Emily's website here to see some of
her most recent work.
