Terry received his first formal introduction to photography from a class at Dawson Community College
in Glendive. It was from this class that he discovered his interest in photgraphy was more than just taking a picture of someone or
some thing, but rather that it was a creation of a piece of photographic art.
He and his wife Glennis opened the Osborn Photography Studio in Glendive in 1995. While portraiture is
the primary focus of the business, Terry most enjoys getting out and taking images of his surroundings, capturing the play of light
and shadow in ordinary places such as alleys (one of his favorites.)
Terry has been a member of the Professional Photographers of America for nearly twenty years, and a
member of the Montana Professional Photographers Association for fourteen years. Of the fourteen years of membership in the Montana
Association he has served on the Board of Directors for eight years with two consecuitives terms as the association President. He has
also been named among the "Top Ten Montana Professional Photographers" in 2006 and 2007. Over the years he has earned many awards and
recognition in regional and national competitions, as well as having been published in a number of magazines.
He has also instructed classes in Crime Scene photography at the Dawson County College (DCC) in Glendive
as well as a number of entry level classes. Lastly, he has been an active participant and asked to nudge photography exhibitions at Dawson,
Richland, Fallon, Custer and Carter County fairs in Montana and at the Golden Valley, North Dakota fairs.
