Featured Show September 2011- Pennsylvania Wildlife Artist Matt Doyle

     Matt was born and raised in the rural countryside of Bedford County, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Bedford High School in 2005 and pursued Art Education at the Pennsylvania College of Art and Design in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He finished his four year education there in 2009 with a BA in Fine Arts.

     As Matt was growing up he developed a great passion for the outdoors. His passion soon spread into his sketches and later into paintings. He was influenced by different artists such as Mark Sussino, who painted beautiful underwater fish scenes; Robert Bateman, who is famous for his wildlife art, and Al Agnew, whose work is commonly found on the covers of Cabela's catalogs.

      Matt is also insprired by God's creation and all its beauty. It is important for him that everyone who sees his art sees what beauty God has also made all across the world.

      Matt prefers to paint mostly wildlife and landscapes. Oils and graphite pencils are his mediums of choice.

     Since 2006 Matt has been in a variety of different shows including the Kalagyro's Gallery, Twisted System Gallery, MasterPlan Design and the Framing Concpet Gallery, all located in Lancaster, PA., as well as The Anderson House, sponsored by the Bedford County Arts Council.
